The role of power amplifier in sound system

In the field of multimedia speakers, the concept of independent power amplifier first appeared in 2002, after a period of market cultivation, about 2005 and 2006, the new design ideas of this multimedia speaker has been widely recognized by consumers, the major speaker manufacturers have also launched the use of independent power amplifier design of the new 2.1 speaker, Thus set off a wave of "independent amplifier" buying upsurge. In fact, in terms of sound quality of speakers, it will not be greatly improved because of the design of independent power amplifier, independent power amplifier can only effectively reduce the impact of electromagnetic interference on sound quality, and it is not enough to cause considerable improvement in sound quality. Nevertheless, the stand-alone amplifier design still has many advantages that are not available with regular 2.1 multimedia speakers:

First of all, independent power amplifier because there is no built-in volume limit, so you can achieve better heat dissipation effect. Ordinary speakers with built-in power amplifier, because they are sealed in a wooden box with poor thermal conductivity, can only dissipate heat through the convection of the inverting tube. For the independent power amplifier, although the power amplifier circuit is also sealed in the box, but because the power amplifier box is not like the speaker, there is no sealing requirement, so a large number of heat dissipation holes can be opened in the position of the heating parts, so that the heat can be rapidly dispersed through natural convection. This is especially important for high-power amplifiers.

Again, the speaker with the built-in power amplifier, because the air in the box is in non-stop vibration, resulting in the PCB version and electronic components of the power amplifier resonating, and the vibration of components such as capacitors will be played back into the sound, resulting in noise. In addition, the speaker will also have an electromagnetic impact, even if it is a full anti-magnetic speaker, it will inevitably leak magnetic phenomenon, especially the large subwoofer. The influence of magnetic leakage of electronic components such as circuit plate and IC will interfere with the current in the circuit, resulting in a disturbing current sound.

In addition, the independent power amplifier design of the speaker due to the use of the power amplifier box control, to a large extent liberated the placement of the low speaker, saving valuable desktop space.

Said so many advantages of independent power amplifier, in fact, summed up is a sentence - if you do not consider the volume, price and other reasons, only from the use of the effect of the point of view, then the independent power amplifier is comprehensively superior to the design of the built-in power amplifier.
